Three years ago, country music icon Randy Travis’ life was changed forever when he suffered a life-threatening stroke that deprived him of his signature baritone voice. After years of rehabilitation, the singer is surprising the world by taking to the microphone again. On October 16, the audience at the Country Music Hall of Fame witnessed a moving miracle when Travis sang a rendition of “Amazing Grace.” The performance earned a standing ovation and marks a milestone in Travis’ recovery. Later that night, Travis was officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame alongside fiddler Charles Daniels and record producer Fred Foster.
