The Renaissance Denver Downtown in the old Colorado National Bank Building is home to five Allen Tupper True triptychs as beautifully restored as the lobby in which the work is shown. But it’s not the only Allen Tupper True in the building. The crafty mixologists behind the hotel’s bar have concocted a drink in honor of the pioneering artist.

1 cinnamon stick
2 pieces wild ginger root
1 dried fig
1½ ounces Peach Street Straight Bourbon
2 ounces Boylan Root Beer
Mint sprig, for garnish
The Midnight Troubadour
Tough and timeless, this polo is built for the long ride. Featuring a crisp, non-collapsing collar and a rugged, stretchy fabric, it's the perfect shirt for any cowboy's wardrobe.
In mixing glass muddle the cinnamon, the wild ginger root, and the dried fig. Add the bourbon, and pour into cocktail shaker. Shake the mixture, and strain into tall glass filled with ice. Top the drink with Boylan Root Beer. Garnish with vibrant mint sprig.
